Bring Your Own Gear — 2-Hour Snakehead Fishing Instruction

Want to learn how to target snakehead from a kayak? Bring your own kayak and fishing gear and spend two hours learning the techniques, setup, and approach.

This hands-on instructional session is designed for anglers of any experience level who want to become more confident and effective fishing for snakehead from their own kayak. At the end of the 2-hour session, you will be released into the wild to fish on your own using the skills you learned.

What You'll Learn

During your two-hour session, we'll cover:

  • Kayak Setup — Learn how to prepare and organize your kayak for snakehead fishing, including gear placement and an efficient on-the-water setup.

  • Gear & Tackle — Review your current rods, reels, line, lures, and equipment and learn how to configure them for targeting snakehead.

  • Finding Snakehead — Learn what types of water, structure, vegetation, and habitat to look for when searching for fish.

  • On-the-Water Strategy — Learn how to approach an area, choose where to cast, and develop a strategy instead of simply covering water at random.

Bring Your Own Setup

This is a Bring Your Own Gear experience. You'll use your own kayak, rod, reel, tackle, and fishing equipment throughout the session.

Learning with your own equipment means the techniques you practice during the session are techniques you can immediately use the next time you head out on your own.
